We are all aware that Venice is a must-see destination in Italy. While its popularity is a positive thing, the city is under a lot of strain as a result of the ever-increasing number of tourists that visit it on a daily basis. As a result, a new tourist levy will be implemented in order to minimize the number of people accessing the city at one time. This tourism fee will be implemented on January 1, 2023, and will cost 5 Euros per person per day.
So, what does all of this mean?
It means that getting into Venice as a visitor will be more difficult. Those wishing to visit the iconic city must purchase tickets in order to gain admission. So if you are planning to visit the city anytime soon, be sure to make arrangements in advance.
Italy’s Covid 19 Policy
Italy is currently keeping strict entry restrictions for all persons who wish to reach the country. All travelers are required to present a valid vaccination or recovery certificate. In addition, travelers must also provide a completed Passenger Locator Form and a negative test taken before arrival. The testing requirement applies even to everyone, regardless of the vaccination status.
